Ohio River Sweep Litter Clean-Up Event to be Held on Saturday June 22, 2024!

The Ohio River Sweep is an annual, volunteer cleanup that extends the entire 3,000-mile length of the Ohio River. Volunteers from the six states bordering the Ohio River remove litter at multiple locations along the river and many of its tributaries. In the past, volunteers in Clermont County have made tremendous progress cleaning their section along the Ohio River.

Clermont County will be hosting four staging locations for this event:

Participants will receive a free T-shirt, and all sites are celebrating afterward with lunch, snacks and refreshments!

Funding for these local cleanups come from the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission, the Adams-Clermont Solid Waste District, and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

If you are interested in pitching in, bring a water bottle, wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty! Trash bags, and a limited number of gloves will be provided. Visit www.SpringLitterCleanup.com to register!
