Adams County Recycling

The Adams-Clermont Solid Waste District provides 18 recycle drop-off locations throughout Adams County. Click on the recycling bin locations icon to the right to find the recycling drop-off location closest to you. By clicking on a green recycling marker on the map, you will see what items are accepted at that location. Some locations accept glass, some do not. All locations accept cardboard, paper, aluminum cans, steel cans, and plastic bottles.

Recycling reduces the amount of generated waste and ultimately the cost of waste disposal for residents.

 

The Adams Waste and Recycling Center (AWAR) is a transfer station where residents can drop off garbage and tires for a nominal fee.   AWAR is also a buy-back recycling center and accepts non-ferrous metals and some auto parts.  AWAR is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.  Call (937) 544-2650 for more information.  Click here for a map of AWAR.  Or click here for more information on AWAR.

Appliance Recycling

Adams-Brown Recycling in Georgetown will accept refrigerators and freezers for a $10 charge, and other old appliances free of charge (updated March 2021).  Please call (937) 378-3431 for more information.
