Adams County Waste and Recycling Transfer Station Closed Aug. 31 – Sept. 12 for Pavement Improvements

The Adams County Waste and Recycling (AWAR) transfer station, located at 95 Trefz Road outside of West Union, will be CLOSED from Saturday August 31 through Thursday September 12, 2024. The last day of operations before the closure will be Friday August 30, 2024 with normal operations resuming on Friday September 13, 2024.

This temporary closure is required for a concrete pavement project totaling nearly 5,000 square feet. Upon completion, customers will enjoy an expanded scrap metal drop-off area and scale exit area. Additional minor facility improvements will also be performed during this time. Partial funding for this concrete project was provided by the Ohio EPA with additional funds contributed by the Adams-Clermont Solid Waste District. Questions regarding the temporary closure can be directed to Doug Snyder at dsnyder@ClermontCountyOhio.gov or (513)732-7744.
